What is managed
The server and Odoo, as one service.
An ERP depends on the server it runs on, so Managed Odoo covers both. This is the work, and where it stops.
Managed Odoo covers
- The server underneath, run and patched by Noiz
- Odoo updates and fixes within your installed version
- A backup of the database and the filestore before every change
- Logins, key flows and scheduled actions checked after every change
- Logs reviewed for recurring errors, and the cause dealt with
- Triage and recovery from the most recent usable backup when Odoo or its server breaks
- The restore point agreed with you before anything newer is overwritten
- A final export of your database and filestore if you leave

- The hosting underneath: a Noiz Cloud or dedicated server, or on-site hardware Noiz administers

Because the application depends on its server, Managed Odoo is sold where Noiz runs that layer. Three places qualify.

A Noiz Cloud server
A virtual server from our Cloud range, sized for your Odoo and billed as its own line. The usual starting point for a small or medium company.

A Noiz dedicated server
A whole machine run by Noiz, for a larger company, a heavier Odoo or more than one instance.

On-site hardware Noiz administers
Your own server at your premises, administered by Noiz so that Odoo can be managed on it the same way.

Prefer to run Odoo yourself?
You can run Odoo on a Noiz Cloud server without Managed Odoo. Noiz runs the cloud platform; the server and the application are yours to look after. If you want Noiz to take it over later, we look at the instance first and say what the move involves.
Noiz does not manage Odoo in environments it does not run.

Odoo Community, the open-source edition of Odoo, self-hosted on a server Noiz runs. Odoo Community is open source, with no per-user licence fees.

On a Noiz Cloud server, a Noiz dedicated server, or on-site hardware that Noiz administers. Noiz does not manage Odoo on servers it does not run.
Server management is included: Noiz runs the server and Odoo together, as one line. The server itself, such as a Noiz Cloud server, is billed as its own line. Both prices are our store's own; the Managed Odoo price is on the order card above.
Implementation, business configuration and custom modules are quoted separately. Managed Odoo keeps the server and the software running and current; how Odoo is configured for your business stays with you.
Updates and fixes within your installed Odoo version are part of the service. Moving to a new major version is a migration project and is quoted separately.
The database and the filestore are backed up before every change Noiz makes. If Odoo or its server breaks, Noiz triages it and restores from the most recent usable backup, and agrees the restore point with you before anything newer is overwritten.
Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 South African time, excluding public holidays. We aim to reply by the next working day, and urgent security issues go to the front of the queue. There is no fixed repair time.
Monthly, per instance, as its own line on your invoice; the server underneath is another line. Our cancellation policy sets out how and when to cancel.
Yes. You can run Odoo yourself on a Noiz Cloud server. The server and the application are then yours to look after.
Yes. Odoo Community is open source and your data stays exportable. If you cancel Managed Odoo, Noiz gives you a final export of your database and filestore to take with you.
