[noiz] hosting | cloud

Self-managed Linux servers, root included.

A server of your own: a stated allocation of cores, memory, disk and transfer, a dedicated IPv4 address and full root over SSH, provisioned within one working day and billed monthly. You own the operating system; we keep the platform and the network healthy.

Who it suits

A clean server for people who want to run it themselves.

Each server comes with a fresh install of Ubuntu or Debian and nothing else. What goes on it, and how it is kept, is your call.

01 · Developers

Custom stacks, full control.

Install the runtime, the web server, the database and the tooling you want, and keep root. Script it, automate it and run it your way, with nothing in the way between you and the operating system.

Full root over SSH. Your SSH keys, your firewall, your users.

02 · Applications

Self-hosted open-source applications.

Run the open-source applications you would deploy on any cloud: install them over SSH, following each project's own documentation. One-click images are coming; until then, install over SSH, or ask us to install it, quoted.

WordPress Care and the Cloudflare add-on can be added to a Cloud server from your account.

03 · Odoo and ERPNext

An ERP on a server you control.

Run Odoo Community or ERPNext on a Cloud server without management: you hold the server, the data and the administrator account. When you would rather we ran the server and the application together, Managed Odoo is a fixed monthly line and ERPNext management is quoted.

Cloud servers

Every server, with its allocation printed.

Each card prints its cores, memory, disk and monthly transfer beside its price, read from our store as the page loads. Pick the server whose allocation fits the work; what the card says is what you get.

The split

What we keep healthy, and what you run.

Self-managed means exactly that. The line sits at the operating system: everything beneath it is ours to keep running, everything from it up is yours.

What Noiz keeps healthy

The platform and the network

  • The hardware and the virtualisation layer your server runs on
  • The network, and the dedicated IPv4 address that comes with the server
  • Provisioning: a clean operating system install, within one working day
  • The hardware underneath, repaired or replaced as our Specific Terms set out
  • Your account, billing and the ticket desk

What you own and run

The operating system and everything on it

  • The operating system, its updates and its security patches
  • Everything you install: web server, databases, mail, a control panel if you want one, your applications
  • TLS certificates, the DNS records that point at the server, and the firewall
  • Users, SSH keys and access
  • Backups and recovery, including testing that a restore works
  • The software you run, its support and its licences

Would you rather hand the operating system over as well? The managed options below cover it, and hands-on Linux administration can be quoted to your server. The Specific Terms set out the split in full.

Managed options

When you would rather we ran it.

Management is a separate line from hosting, and either can exist without the other. Two routes: one in our store, one quoted to your server.

Store group

Managed Applications

The application is the product, not the box it runs on. Managed Odoo, Nextcloud and WordPress Care are run and kept for you by Noiz, with the server underneath billed as its own line where one is needed.

Quoted

Managed VPS

A Cloud server with Linux administration on top. Operating-system maintenance, monitoring, backup and recovery responsibilities, access, the supported stack and the response window are each defined in a quote to your server before anything is billed.

Questions

Questions people ask about Cloud.

A clean install of Ubuntu or Debian, full root over SSH, one dedicated IPv4 address, and the cores, memory, SSD disk and monthly transfer printed on the card you order. Nothing else is installed: no control panel, no mail stack and no web server until you put one there.

We provision each server by hand, within one working day of the order. Your access details follow once it is up.

You do. A self-managed server means you manage the operating system and everything on it: updates, security patches, backups and the software you install. We keep the platform and the network healthy. If you would rather we ran the operating system too, ask for a quote for Linux administration, or choose a managed application.

Yes. Install Odoo Community or ERPNext over SSH and run it without management; you hold the server, the data and the administrator account. One-click images are coming. If you want the server and the application run together, Managed Odoo is a fixed monthly line and ERPNext management is quoted.

No. On a self-managed server, backups and restores are yours to set up and to test. If you would rather we did it, Backup in the Security group is a managed backup run and watched by Noiz, with capacity, retention and frequency agreed before you buy.

Anything lawful that fits our Acceptable Use Policy, which also names what may not run on a Cloud server.

Monthly, in rand, at the price printed on the card. No VAT added: the price shown is the price you pay. Our cancellation policy sets out how and when to cancel, and the billing and payment policy covers the rest.

Tickets go straight to Noiz, the people who run the platform. What runs on your server is yours to manage; when you want help with it, hands-on Linux administration is quoted by the hour or as a maintained service. You can also message us on Signal at +27 76 903 4821 or WhatsApp at +353 83 014 7649, or email [email protected].

Choose a server, or ask which one fits.

Tell us what you will run on it and how busy it gets. We will say which server fits, and we will say so if none does.
