What does unlimited mean?

When Noiz describes something as unlimited, such as traffic or the number of domains, mailboxes or databases on a plan, it means Noiz sets no fixed quota or meter on it. It does not mean there is no limit at all: use is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, and the figures published for each plan, such as cores, memory and disk, still apply. Noiz does not sell disk as unlimited.

Over time, traffic costs have consistently decreased, shifting the primary constraint from traffic to server hardware infrastructure.

Noiz utilises powerful servers that maintain a low ratio of websites per server, resulting in typical underutilisation. This configuration enables websites to accommodate growth and traffic spikes without performance degradation. The majority of websites, approximately 99%, operate effectively within this environment.

How will I know that my website is not suited to a shared hosting server?

Determining the suitability threshold in advance can be challenging. Noiz actively monitors server performance and will contact you if issues arise to discuss potential alternatives.

If a single website adversely impacts the performance of the shared server, it may have outgrown the shared environment. Based on our experience, such occurrences are rare.

Common causes include coding inefficiencies, inadequate security maintenance, high demand, or a combination thereof. In cases where efficiency improvements are not feasible, transitioning to a managed virtual or dedicated server may be recommended.

What happens to my website if it is deemed unsuitable for a shared hosting environment?

Noiz will proactively contact you to discuss appropriate actions and an implementation timeline.

In emergency situations, priority is given to maintaining server integrity for all customers. This may involve temporary suspension of your website, with efforts made to reinstate services as promptly as reasonably possible.
