Search a name and see whether it is free, with the one-year price beside each extension. .co.za and the other .za names are registered under our ZACR accreditation; generic and other country extensions go through an international registrar.

The name is registered with you as the registrant, and you manage its contacts, name servers and renewal from your account.

Transfer in

Bring a name you already have.

The Transfer column of the table below prints the transfer price for every extension, .co.za included. The registry emails the registrant to confirm a .za transfer. A .com or other generic name needs its authorisation code from your current registrar and must be unlocked first.

A transfer does not change where the name points, so the site and the mail stay up while it moves.

Renew

Renewed on time, with notice first.

Names are registered one year at a time and renew automatically unless you tell us not to. The renewal invoice is issued ahead of the renewal date, and a reminder follows by email before the name expires.

To let a name lapse, turn off its automatic renewal in your account before the deadline in the Specific Terms.

DNS and the add-ons

On a Noiz hosting plan the Plesk panel runs the DNS for your domains next to the site and the mail. A name without hosting can run on DNS Only, and the Cloudflare add-on puts Cloudflare in front of a hosted domain with its records kept in step.

Cloudflare in front of your domain

Your domain's DNS on Cloudflare, kept in sync with the records in your Noiz control panel, with Cloudflare switched on, switched off and configured for you at a set level. With proxying on, Cloudflare filters traffic before it reaches the server. It is optional: our own server-side protections apply whether or not a domain uses it.

Questions people ask about domains.

Every extension in the price table above, from .co.za and the other .za names to the generic and country extensions. The table is our store's own list and prints the registration, transfer and renewal price of each for one year.

For .co.za names, Noiz is a registrar accredited by the ZA Registry Consortium (ZACR), which runs the .co.za registry. Other extensions are registered through an international registrar, as the Specific Terms set out. Either way the name is registered with you as the registrant and managed from your Noiz account.

Use Domain Transfer in the search box above. For a .co.za name, the registry emails the registrant to confirm the move. For a .com or another generic extension, unlock the name at your current registrar, get its authorisation (EPP) code and enter it when you order. A new Legacy or Premium order, monthly or annual, includes your first .co.za registration; its renewals are paid at the normal price. Reseller plans do not include one. The shared hosting page has the plans.

Registrations and renewals are for one year at a time. A name renews every year for as long as its automatic renewal stays on.

The registry's rules apply. A .co.za name goes through a suspension period and is then deleted; other registries have their own grace and redemption periods and fees. The Specific Terms set them out, and renewing before the date avoids them.
