Noiz Mail: connect your AI assistant to your business email

By Noiz / 21st October 2026 | 5 min

The AI assistants built into ChatGPT, Claude and the rest connect to Gmail and Microsoft mail. Until now, email on your own domain was left out. Noiz Mail changes that for every mailbox we host: your AI app can now search, read and summarise your mail, file and flag it, draft replies and send them, the way a mail app does.

In short

  • Noiz Mail is live, and free with every mailbox on Noiz hosting and on client mail servers we manage.
  • It works with AI apps that accept a custom connector: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Codex.
  • You add one web address, sign in on a Noiz page with your mailbox login, and you are connected.
  • One connection can cover every mailbox you hold the login for, so an owner can work across the whole team's mail.
  • Your password is stored encrypted on our side. The AI app never sees it.

What can your AI assistant do with your email?

Ask it in plain words, the way you would ask an assistant at the next desk.

You ask It does
"Summarise what came in from Acme this week." Searches and reads the messages, then summarises them
"Find the March invoice from Smith & Co and read me the PDF." Finds the mail and opens the attachment
"Draft a reply to Jane saying we'll deliver on Friday." Saves a draft in your mailbox for you to check
"Reply to Jane that we'll deliver on Friday and send it." Shows you the message and, in most apps, asks you to approve it before it goes
"File everything from the bank into Accounts." Moves the mail to a folder you already have

It works the way your mail app does. Mail it sends goes out from your own mailbox, and a copy lands in your Sent folder. "Delete" means move to Trash, where you can restore it. Noiz Mail never deletes mail permanently.

Which AI apps does it work with?

It works with Claude (the desktop app, the website, the mobile app and Claude Code), Grok, ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu, and Codex. On Claude, every plan can add a custom connector, and the Free plan allows one.

How do you connect it?

  1. In your AI app, add a custom connector named Noiz Mail with the address https://mcp.noiz.co.za/mail.
  2. A Noiz page called "Connect your mailbox" opens. Enter your mailbox address and password and click Connect.
  3. Start asking. The step-by-step guide for each app is in our help article (link below).

Most apps set this up in under two minutes. On Claude Team or Enterprise and Grok Business, an admin adds the connector once and each person signs in with their own mailbox.

Can one connection cover the whole team?

Yes. On the sign-in page, paste your list into the "Several mailboxes" box, one mailbox per line with its password. Every login is checked before anything connects. To add or remove a mailbox later, or enter a staff member's new password, sign in at https://mcp.noiz.co.za/mail/manage; there is no need to reconnect your AI app. Then ask about one mailbox ("in accounts@, find ...") or all of them ("search all our mailboxes for the Acme quote").

Only connect mailboxes you are entitled to read. Tell your staff in writing that their mail can be read through your AI app.

What about privacy and safety?

  • Your password stays with us. It is stored encrypted and can only be unlocked by your own connection. The AI app never sees it.
  • The AI sees what it reads. Any message it opens goes to the company behind your AI app, under that company's terms. Choose a plan whose terms suit business mail.
  • Sending needs your approval. Noiz Mail marks sending as an action that needs your say-so, and most AI apps ask before sending. They stop asking if you set them to "always allow", so read every message before you approve it.
  • You can cut it off at any time. Disconnect in your AI app, or change your mailbox password and every connection stops the next time it is used.

Prefer to keep everything on your own computer? If you use Thunderbird, a connector can work with the mail Thunderbird already holds, and your password never leaves your PC. Our guide to that set-up is linked below.
