8. Verify SMTP (Outgoing) Settings
This step is important — if outgoing mail is not working, these settings are usually the cause.
Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → tap your newly added account → tap the account row showing your email address → scroll down and tap SMTP (under Outgoing Mail Server).
Tap your mail server under Primary Server and confirm the following:
Use SSL: ON
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 465
Tap Done.
9. Verify Incoming Server Settings
Go back to the account screen and tap Advanced at the bottom.
Confirm the following:
Use SSL: ON
Server Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
Port Reference
IMAP (recommended): 993 (SSL/TLS)
POP3: 995 (SSL/TLS)
SMTP (outgoing): 465 (SSL/TLS)
Once the email has been added successfully, you can access your newly added email account from the Mail app.
