Seeds, dirt and gold coins representing saving money and financial growth

In the last two years, it has become obvious that our legacy money (fiat) is being inflated. This hurts our wallets through increased prices (which is actually just inflated currency, or an increase in the countries money supply compared with it's debt and GDP).

I know how good it feels to find savings where I can, so I've come up with 2 ways to save money on your website / cloud hosting, and 1 way to make money with hosting. (This article applies to hosting services provided by Cloud Matrix)

Pay your bill annually - 8% saving.

For shared hosting and Octoid (managed WordPress) hosting subscriptions, you can save 8% per year, because when you pay up front, I've made the 12th month free. While it might seem frightening to pay such a large sum of money up front, you will notice the savings over a year, and your future self will thank you.

Pay with Monero (XMR) - 10% saving.

Monero is private, decentralized (peer to peer) digital cash. In my opinion, it's the most practical cryptocurrency. I've activated a Monero payment gateway on invoices, and am offering an incentive of 10% off your hosting bill each month if you choose to start using it. Learn more at getmonero.org, or get in touch with noiz.co.za to schedule an on-boarding session, or for eCommerce integrations, point of sales and more.

Become an affiliate - 5% recurring income per value of referral.

This is a little easter egg that I don't advertise too much for obvious reasons. By becoming an affiliate, you get a unique link to send to friends and family, or to embed on your website and social media. When someone signs up to a shared, Octoid or cloud hosting account with us, you will get 5% of what they spend with us each month back. This can be added to your account as credit, or paid out to your bank account after a certain threshold.

  • Change your billing from monthly to annual,

  • Become an affiliate for referral income.

Example.

Let's say you are a marketer, and you have an Octoid Business plan which is R425 per month, and includes 30 GB of disk space, 10 Managed WordPress sites, 2 CPU cores, and 2GB of dedicated RAM. Let's say you also have managed to refer 5 clients who are all on our entry level Shared Personal plan at R85 per month. Let's look at your savings now over 12 months:

  • Making an annual payment saves you R425 as the 12th month is free.
  • You choose to pay this invoice with the exciting new digital cash Monero so you save another R467.50.
  • Your referrals, who have been with us for a year, earn you a total of R255 for the year.
  • That is a TOTAL saving of R1147.50 per year!
  • This is literally free money.

Of course the more referrals you have, the more you make, and eventually I could be paying you for your hosting. There is also a compounding effect if you have multiple hosting plans with us, as many of my clients do.

So what now?

Obviously I'd suggest doing all of the above, but it's really up to you. Even if you can't afford up front payment, if your credit card has an 10% interest rate, then it would make financial sense to use if for all of the above as the interest rate is lower than the savings which is well over 18%.
